Quick note

It has been a long time since I posted here. I have been bit busy with my son and other things at work. At work, Windows Server 2008 R2 & SharePoint work are keeping me busy. I have worked on VHDShellExt.VBS update to add a simple progress information window. I need to test it before I could make a release. Apart from that, chapter 5 of my eBook — Hyper-V: Virtual Networks — is also pending. I still have couple of more pages to complete and of course the code samples. I will try and make these two releases by end of next week. Visit this page again for updates.

Waz up….!

For the past few weeks, I have been a bit busy at work and not spending enough time at home to work on either Server 2008 R2 or Hyper-V v2. This is what happens to me when the family is away, I guess. I have a few things in my to-do list. I want to disintegrate HVS2008 UI in to separate script-lets and make it usable in your own scripting. Also, I want to do the same thing in PowerShell since R2 or Hyper-V v2 will have the support for PowerShell. However, there are many PowerShell scripts around on the net. So, I need to differentiate my work from all that in existence. So, keep watching this space. I will be back soon.

Industry down turn and global recession

For the past few months, there has been a constant fear of job loses, etc because of the economic crisis that is slowly surrounding each and every nation. India is no exception. Every morning, we wake up to the news of some company asking its employees to leave the company either voluntarily or involuntarily. There is no need to say that this is a tough situation and not sure how long this will continue. I have seen a few people go thorugh this trauma and I have also seen a few coming out of it and doing great in their career. This recession may or may not take its toll on me. As usual, time will decide. To end this on a positive note, here is a quote that I believe in — whatever may happen in life. The great pleasure in life is doing what you love to do and what people say you cannot do – unknown
